Gene Rubin is the founder and Chief Meteorologist of Your Forecast Now, bringing more than 30 years of professional weather forecasting and meteorological experience, with decades of firsthand knowledge of Atlanta and North Georgia weather.
His fascination with weather began at age seven and developed into a career spanning operational forecasting, television meteorology, weather technology, radar systems, and specialized meteorological consulting.
Gene was an original member of The Weather Channel’s on-air meteorology team. He also served as an on-air meteorologist for Fox 5 in Atlanta and KSTP-TV in Minneapolis.
Later in his career, he spent 18 years with Weather Services International Corporation in a senior regional sales role, working with television broadcasters on advanced weather and traffic systems. He also served for six years as National Sales Manager for Enterprise Electronics Corporation, a manufacturer of Doppler weather radar systems.
Gene holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University and completed graduate meteorology coursework at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
When he’s not watching the atmosphere, Gene has occasionally preferred being in it—skydiving, mountain BASE jumping, and co-piloting hot-air balloons.
